The Fall of the Mountain King takes place during the catastrophic war that drove the trolls from their kingdom inside the mountain generations ago. The invasion of the dwarves was sudden and relentless. They flooded our tunnels, desecrated our mountain, and drove us from our ancestral caves. Trolls from all clans rushed to the heart of the mountain to defend the Great Halls. For a long time, we withstood the endless waves of invaders and successfully repelled the dwarves. But soon it will be time for one last battle. Will we rise like heroes, or will we be driven out into the wilderness to fight for a meager survival? Sharpen your blades, brothers and sisters! Raise your hammers! If we trolls must fall, then we will fall fighting!
In The Fall of the Mountain King, you will experience many exciting mechanisms:
Puzzling an action selection (Ancestry); Tactically deploying trolls in the caves (Area Control); Recruiting champions with valuable special abilities; Defending the mountain to gain more influence over the different troll clans.
