The year is 2086. Humanity has been extinct for several decades, and great apes have managed to evolve. United in hordes, they learn to use abandoned objects and continue their quest for knowledge. It is the responsibility of the alpha to lead their primate group on the path to collective intelligence.
In the accessible expert game After Us for up to six players, players skillfully coordinate their horde of great apes to collect resources and win the race for 80 victory points. Players have their own deck, from which they draw four random primate cards at the beginning of each round and carefully arrange them: To obtain resources, clever connections and completions of the boxes on the primate cards are necessary. Only closed boxes yield profits. These can be not only resources but also various effects. Each round, players also have the opportunity to attract new primates to expand and upgrade their deck. The different apes – gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees, and mandrills – bring different strengths and new abilities. The rage track adds additional flexibility to deckbuilding.
