Skull & Roses is the quintessence of bluffing, a game where everything happens in the players' minds. Each player plays a card face down, then each player in turn adds another card until someone feels confident enough to declare that they can turn over a number of cards face up and only get roses. Other players can then overbid, stating that they can turn over even more cards. The player who made the highest bid must turn over that number of cards face up, starting with their own card. If they reveal only roses, they win; if they reveal a skull, they lose and one of their cards is removed from the game. Two successful challenges win the game. Skull & Roses is not a game of chance; it's a poker game where you make a face and meet eyes. Skull & Roses Red features the same gameplay as Skull & Roses, with the only change being alternative rules that allow each player to control two biker gangs. Both Skull & Roses Red and Skull are playable individually, with each game containing six different biker gangs. Any Skull or Skull & Roses set can be combined with another to allow games with more than six players.
