The new, card-driven board game by Alexander Pfister, Maracaibo, transports players to the Caribbean of the 17th century, into a colorful world full of adventure and tactical possibilities.

Various nations vie for supremacy, trying to expand and consolidate their political and economic power. As seafarers, players do everything to increase their prestige, build influential connections, and thus achieve fame and fortune. But only the one who can implement their plans most profitably will ultimately win. Various strategies can help with implementation: upgrading one's own boat into a mighty ship, engaging in battles, capturing other boats, embarking on expeditions, fulfilling quests, etc. And above all, there is the spell of a quick ending: The end of a round can occur unexpectedly and much faster than planned!

In Maracaibo, players will also find a unique story mode, which means Maracaibo can also be played as a campaign and experienced as an exciting story. Surprises can influence the game at any time.
