Our once great empire has been ravaged by a devastating plague... will you answer the call and save it?

Once we stood tall and grand, now we must rediscover and rebuild our fallen cities. There are still survivors in the ruins - we must take them into our care and heal them. To stay ahead of the plague, we must use new inventions and technologies. Our influence will grow with the rebuilding, but the plague will still lurk in the shadows, ready to strike when we least expect it. When it strikes, it will be difficult to adapt, but we will survive. In addition to acquiring important resources, our task will be to bring the plague under control.

In Pest, players take on the roles of the leaders of the ruling houses of a once great empire ravaged by a catastrophic plague. The plague has left much of the empire in ruins, and it is now up to the players to restore the empire to its former glory.

Pest is played over 6 rounds. In each round, before players take their turn, a Plague card is revealed, showing how the plague will spread this round. When it's their turn, players can choose from many actions on their player board using a unique action selection system. This allows players to move their containment team on the board, quarantine and heal infected people, rebuild, deploy workers, harvest resources, and much more.

As the influence of their house grows, players can play more actions, generate more resources, and accommodate more people. This brings forth new technological advancements urgently needed to bring the plague under control.

The game ends after the 6 rounds are over and players have counted their final amount of Prestige (victory points). The player with the most Prestige is the winner and is declared the Savior of the Empire!
