Description of the board game in German:

Tikal is the first part of the Mask Trilogy by Michael Kiesling and Wolfgang Kramer. It was released in 1999 and was awarded the "Spiel des Jahres" prize. Nineteen years later, Tikal is back - this time with three-dimensional temple pieces instead of cardboard figures!

In Tikal, players explore the Guatemalan jungle, especially the ancient site of Tikal. The Mask Trilogy uses an action point system. This means that in Tikal, players can spend 10 points per round on actions. They can excavate temples, recover treasures, build camps, move workers, and much more. The deeper a temple is excavated, the more points it is worth and the more interesting it becomes for other players. You can claim a temple twice per game and secure it for the entire game. But at what price? You also discover treasures and can potentially force other players to trade treasures with you to complete sets.

There are three scoring moments during the game and another at the end. Points are awarded for temples and treasures; whoever has the most points wins! We are releasing the new edition of Tikal in Dutch.

This is the Dutch and German version with resin temple pieces.

Description of the board game in Dutch:

Tikal is the first game in the Mask Trilogy, conceived by Michael Kiesling and Wolfgang Kramer. It was released in 1999 and awarded the 'Spiel Des Jahres' prize. 19 years later, Tikal is back, but now with 3D temple pieces instead of cardboard!

In Tikal, players discover the jungle of Guatemala, specifically the ancient site of Tikal. The Mask Trilogy uses an 'action point allowance system'. This means that in Tikal, players have 10 points per turn to spend on actions. For example, they can excavate temples, dig for treasures, build camps, move workers, etc. But the further they excavate a temple, the more points it becomes worth, and thus also the more interesting it becomes for other players. However, you can claim a temple twice per game and secure it for the entire game. But at what price? You also discover treasures and may eventually force other players to trade treasures with you to complete sets.

There are three moments in the game when points are scored, and once more at the end of the game. Points are counted for temples and treasures, whoever has the most points wins! We are releasing the new edition of Tikal in Dutch.

This is the Dutch and German version with resin temple pieces.
