Game contents: 300 cards (264 Kingdom cards, 26 blank cards, 10 empty cards, 22 divider cards (9 divider cards for the new Kingdom cards, and 11 empty divider cards for free use)), 1 plastic box insert as a card sorting aid incl. sorting strips, 1 rulebook DE.

The world is big, and your Dominion is small. At least, compared to the world. It’s medium-sized, compared to other Dominions. But in a big world like ours… anyway, big compared to other, smaller worlds, if there are any. It’s medium-sized compared to other worlds of about the same size, and small compared to slightly larger worlds – well, to cut a long story short – anyway, short compared to longer texts – it's time to expand your borders a little.

You've heard of faraway places - exotic lands where there are pancakes instead of waffles, where people wear shirts in the wrong sizes, and where there isn't even a word for when two people look at each other as if both hope the other will do something they both want, but neither wants to do it. These are the lands you are now setting your sights on.

The central theme of this expansion: It's mainly about cards that trigger something immediately when you take them.

The expansion has 300 cards and 26 new Kingdom cards, including 6 Reaction cards.

Hinterland is the sixth expansion for Dominion ("Game of the Year" 2009); this is the 2nd edition of this expansion.

Compared to the 1st edition, 9 card sets have been exchanged.

The expansion can be combined with all Dominion expansions.
