Brussels, 1893: Victor Horta designs the Maison Autrique and the Hôtel Tassel. Both buildings are now considered
the first Art Nouveau buildings and are renowned worldwide for this. Characteristic elements of
Art Nouveau include light-filled rooms, curved lines reminiscent of plants and flowers, ironwork, mosaics,
frescoes, and stained glass. In the same year, Paul Hankar also built his own house in the Art Nouveau style. Brussels became the
starting point of an artistic movement that soon spread throughout Europe and inspired the great architects of the
"golden age" of the Belle Époque.

In Bruxelles 1893, you play as these famous architects. You build magnificent houses, create decorative
works of art, and expand your influence with the help of the most distinguished nobles of the time. The great dream, however, is to
complete your architectural masterpiece, which will be displayed on your personal game board.
At the end of the game, the player who has collected the most prestige - in the form of victory points (VP) - wins.

Bruxelles 1893 was the winner of the AS D'OR in the "Expert" category in 2014. Now available as a completely revised new edition in German, including the Belle Epoque expansion.
